HOW TO DRAW LINE GRAPHS
A line graph is used when the data have not been grouped in any way.
Example: A typical line graph is shown below:

To draw a line graph you should:
1. Draw two lines at right angles to one another on the graph paper.
These two lines will become the axes of the graph. The vertical
line is known as the y-axis and the horizontal line is known as the
x-axis.
2. Divide and label the two axes into equal parts using the scales
given.
3. Label each axis with a suitable title, e.g. Temperature ºC.
4. Plot the points (use crosses 'x' to represent the points) and then
join them up. Check with your teacher how the points should be
joined up, e.g. by a straight line or a curve.
5. Give the graph a title, starting with “A Line Graph to show…”
