Writing Task 7

You have just returned from Uganda after a fantastic adventure! You helped save two
orphaned baby gorillas and Pete’s customers loved the photos you posted on the
store’s website.
Now you are back at work, are you ready for your next task?

I have brought a new kind of spotted insect back from
Uganda that we are going to sell in our store. We have
called it a Spotted Jumping Jack!



Your task is to write a guide for children about how to care for Spotted Jumping
Jacks.

Use an INFORMAL style (see the Writing Toolbox Instruction Manual, page 4) and
make sure the instructions are easy to follow.

You may want to include sections on:
 facts about the Spotted Jumping Jacks
 setting up the insect box
 feeding
 cleaning
 exercise
 general tips.
