Target 6: Apostrophes – Rule 1 (contractions)

Find in your written work, from any subject, a sample of writing where you have used
apostrophes to show contractions correctly.
HINT: When you are writing speech in a story, make use of apostrophes to
show contractions. This will make the speech sound more natural and also give
you the opportunity to show you can use apostrophes.
REMEMBER: using punctuation correctly will improve your grades.
