A new pet superstore called Pete’s Pets is opening in town. The owner, Pete Writer, is
looking for an office apprentice. Below is the advert for the job.

Job Vacancy: Office Apprentice

Pete’s Pets is a new pet superstore opening soon in town. We are looking for a school
leaver to be an apprentice in our office. We will offer training and a lively and
interesting job!

To apply, you must write a letter telling us about:
 why you want the job
 your computer skills
 any interest or experience you have with animals
 your personal qualities that would make you suitable for the job (such as
being, punctual, organised, a good listener, keen to learn, etc.)
 any hobbies and interests.
Send the letter to the owner of the store:

Mr Pete Writer, Pete’s Pets, 1 Hill Street, Newton, NT6 4TP

You have decided to apply for the job.

Before you start to write your application letter, you need to plan. To do this:
 First of all read the job advert carefully to find out what sort of things you need
to include in your application letter.
