6. Writing a STORY:
A story can be written in an INFORMAL style.
Title: Story Title
Who is telling the story? You? One of the characters? Someone else?

Setting: Where will the story take place?
Character/ Characters: Make notes about the main character(s) in your story (e.g. age,
appearance, personality).

Plot: Remember to use interesting

 What happens to change things? / What problem arises?
 What do they do as a result? / How do they overcome the problem?

Ending: What happens in the end?


7. Writing a FORMAL LETTER (e.g. a letter of complaint):

8. Writing an INFORMAL LETTER (e.g. a letter to a friend):
This is very similar to the FORMAL letter above, but:
 You can use an INFORMAL style (see page 4).
 You don’t need to put the address of the person you are writing to.
 You can end in an informal way such as ‘Best wishes’ or ‘Love’.
