The toolbox will help you:
1. make sure your planning measures up

2. learn how to split your writing into paragraphs
3. tighten up your spelling
4. knock your punctuation into shape
5. get to grips with good grammar
6. decorate your writing to add colour and interest
7. proofread your writing and sweep mistakes away!

Each tool will also have a self-assessment guide which uses ‘TRAFFIC LIGHTS’ to
assess how well you are doing:
GREEN = I can do this. YELLOW = I can sometimes do this. RED = I can’t do this.

You can focus on the yellow and red boxes to set your target. If you have all green
boxes, talk to your teacher about setting a more challenging target.
