Task 2: Semi-colons (2 points)
a) The conjunctions are underlined below:
1. The weather was lovely because the sun was shining brightly.
2. The hotel was shabby and the food was terrible but the beach was lovely.

b) The three missing semi-colons are shown highlighted in yellow and the four missing
commas are shown highlighted in blue.
The cafe sells pasta, which is Italian; noodles, a tasty Chinese meal; fish
and chips, a traditional British meal; and haggis, which is from Scotland.
