Below is a sample conversation, showing correct punctuation. Your teacher will award up
to two points for your playscript.

Steve: Hi Gary, I’m off to play pool. Do you want to come?

Gary: I would love to , Steve, but I’ve got to go to the dentist. I’ve got an emergency

appointment.

Steve: That sounds bad! What’s wrong?

Gary: I was playing cricket yesterday and the field was very muddy. I slipped and the
ball hit me in the face.

Steve: That must have ben painful. Will you be able to come after your appointment?

Gary: Yes, I should be able to meet you after my treatment – if I’m not too sore!
