Here are some homophones that are often mixed up:

right = correct
not = a negative or opposite
where = the place knot = something you tie write = you use
wear = clothes a pen for this

were = from the
verb ‘to be’ two = the number
too = means also (e.g. I want to go too.)
too also means more than enough (e.g. It is too hot.)
who’s = who is to = used all other times (e.g. I went to school.)
whose = who owns?

here = the place
weather = rain, snow etc.
whether = if, making a choice hear = what you do with your ear!



steel = a metal threw = past tense of throw
steal = a thief does this through = to go in one side and come
out the other side



there = place there’s = there is or there has
their = means belonging to them
they’re = they are theirs = belonging to them


know = to be sure of a fact which = which one?
witch = rides on a broomstick
no = opposite of yes

week = 7 days

Quite and quiet are not weak = not strong
homophones but are very similar
and are often mixed up.
quite = almost quiet = not loud
